The Magnitude of the Win

...in case you didn't already know!

The Austin American Statesman sold out of newspapers yesterday, printed 11,000 more, sold out of those, and printed more of yesterday’s newspaper today. I bought one on Ebay.

The Co-op sold over 30,000 Rose Bowl Champion shirts in less than 48 hours. That doesn’t include the other places selling shirts.

There were newspaper articles about the lack of productivity at work in Austin yesterday because everyone was so tired from the night before and still talking about the game.

President Bush called Coach Brown at 6am yesterday morning to congratulate him and invite the whole team to the White House.

A few funny things…

This sign was seen taped to the front desk at the district civil clerk's office at the Travis County Courthouse: "$500 Reward for Missing Heisman."

The audience at The Tonight Show last night was mostly Texas fans (there to see Vince Young). Jay made a joke at the beginning… “UT hasn’t won the National Championship in 35 years. This is the best thing to happen to Texas since the invention of pork rinds.”…upon which the audience fell quiet and then started booing.
